Search and Installation Suggestions

Although you can search through Bibles using the Search function built into the FlashPaper versions of the Bibles, you also may consider installing the entire GoogleCD to your hard drive (Click Here) and also installing Google Desktop (click here) Use Google Desktop for searching in the Chinese Treasures directory (c:/Programs Files/CT5/). In this way you can choose a specific Bible to search from or the entire library. (Please do consider any online security issues before choosing this option.)

It is very helpful, as well, to bookmark the Chinese Treasures Icon or add it to your Favorites for quick launching.

Installing the CD contents to Your Computer

While the Treasures CD runs well from the CD itself, at the request of users, we have included a utility that will copy the contents of the Chinese Treasures CD to the computer's hard drive, should you so desire. The advantage of this is that the program runs considerably faster and you no longer have to carry a CD with you.

Before running the installation utility, please be advised of the following:

  • The install will take between 5 and 20 minutes, depending upon the speed our your computer and its disk drive.
  • The program will copy about 750 megs of information onto your hard drive (into the folder of your choosing.)
  • If you already have a directory entitled Program Files/DBS/Treasures 3.0 or Program Files/DBS/Treasures 3.0
or Program Files/DBS/CT2007, you should delete that directory manually.
  • A shortcut will be created on your desktop called CT5.0.'
  • Please ensure the CD is both clean and free from scratches before running the program.

Robert Boye (1627–1691), was a British natural philosopher, known as the “Father of Modern Chemistry.

The Books of Scripture illustrate and expound each other; as in the mariner’s compass, the needle’s extremity, though it seems to point purposely to the north, doth yet at the same time discover both east and west, as distant as they are from it and each other, so do some texts of Scripture guide us to the intelligence of others, for which they are widely distant in the Bible.

Sir Matthew Hale (1609-1676)
